It depends more on what you are used to. Being well versed with computers, I adapt pretty well & have found many things that just work easier with MAC's from networking to printer setup to adding external devices.

The Mac O/S is pretty straightforward, but I don't consider it any 'easier' than Windows.
They both serve the same purpose - initializing your hardware, and giving you an interface to sort files, and run applications.
Both have had issues, neither is perfect, and though I like them both, Windows has considerably more applications that will run on it.
'Learning' and operating system really depends on what you will be using it for - most of the 'features' of an operating system are useless, and only serve to entertain the idiots who sit around diddling their O/S rather than actually running apps on it.

I use Windows and Mac OS, and to be honest I prefer Mac. There are no viruses, better quality for graphics and vids.

Mac OS
1. It's more stable.
2. It doesn't get viruses.
3. Pretty much anything is plug and play
4. It doesn't have stupid .dll files that randomly disappear and kill your computer.
5. They now run windows if they have an intel chip.
6. They are faster and can handle 10 open programs and 20 GB files.

MAC is easier due to the fact that it is nearly virus free and Windows has thousands of viruses you have to contend with.

This may be a "sideways" answer (maybe I don't know what I'm talking about and I'm sure somebody will generously correct me) but Windows may be "easier" to use in that so much more software is compatible with (built for) it.
