No, if she has a comfort item, blanket, toy or anything else - leave it alone, that's her anchor and prized possesion. So do use it against her would like betraying her trust.

I wouldn't. But every parent has their own ideas The point of discipline is not to make her llife miserable but to help her understand that a behaviour is unacceptable and needs to stop. The thing I have found most useful with my son (a reformed biter) was time out. My mom's opinion is that it's a waste of time, but it gives him a chance to think (and they do think!). The important thing to start NOW is to express your expectations to her and conclude the session of discipline with a hug and and expression of love. This way she has an out for next time and she knows that you love her still. It's hard! They don't come with a care and feeding of manual.

No don't do that. That's security stuff. Time out and loud voice. Swat on the bottom if 1 or older. Then tell her what she did wrong, then tell her you love her. I have 6 kids . 2 are girls.

My son never had a problum going from one thing to another. He likes Elmo and Blues Clues. (old ones w/ steve) But he did bond to a lil white and black dotted, stuffed puppy. (Puppy) He also doesn't Cling to it like she does either. I would just let her keep it. If its like a blankie or stuffed animal. I would wheen from a paci. But I would let her keep her blankie or puppy.
