yes. stoneware is pretty much everything-able. except throwonthefloor-able.

I think stoneware is the best thing you can use in a microwave.

We microwaved a rice recipe in a stoneware bowl last night. It seemed OK.

yes it is. It actually helps microwave food be more like oven cooked food. I use mine in the microwave all the time.
My favorite piece to use in the microwave is the deep dish baker by Pampered Chef. It's the perfect size to fit most microwaves, and because it's round, it turns on my turntable perfectly.

I think it would be, that stuff is expensive though so be careful
