Yes, My youngest son thinks Elmo is a cool. Most toddlers are attracted to the noise Elmo is making before realizing its all about be puppet. the toddlers will move on to others before too long. Be grateful about it because, there are other children shows bring a bit of dramatics like violence and a mild bad language in them. Enjoy it as while it can. I am not thrilled for my oldest son into Power Rangers, which brings its more wild than sesame street! I wish my boys watch sesame street forever- a only show that brings me a peace of mind, knowing they won't imitate or learn anything odd from the show!

What urks me about Sesame Street is that it may as well be called "The Elmo Show". I miss some of the regular character from my youth that you either don't see ever, or if you do, they make a 30 second appearance. Elmo's gotten so big that they had to create "Play with me Sesame" -- the odd time when Elmo shows up there I scowl. Kids don't know what they're missing!

It really doesn't matter if YOU are 'totally sick' of Elmo, because Sesame Street is for '3-5 year olds' and most of them LOVE Elmo. You don't have to buy your child an 'Elmo' doll if you hate 'him' that much ... unless you are a truly good parent who can see the 'good' in getting a child something that is both 'sweet' and 'educational' even if the parent HATES IT.

I work during the day, so I miss SS time. My daughter has 2 Elmo dolls, Tickle Me Elmo and Dress Me Elmo. The Dress Me Elmo gets annoying because if you just touch it, it will start talking and keeps repeating itself. I know it's educational, but it's annoying. I like his laugh though. Sponge Bob's laugh is starting to get on my last nerve though.

My daughter is almost 2 and is totally into Elmo. Shes got the videos, the toys, the slippers, the books...
But no, Elmo doesnt drive me crazy, even after all these months of him. I find it adorable how she snuggles her toy elmos, and talks to him, and reacts to the videos, etc. plus, she says his name so cute. there is just something about that adorable red monster, and I'm glad there is a clean, wholesome character out there that she can relate to. my neices are into those hooker-esque Bratz dolls. I'll take Elmo any day!

I am!!!! When my 15 year old daughter was a toddler, it was Barney. I was going to work singing Barney songs. My daughter had ALL of the Barney VHS tapes. Now that my youngest, who will be 5 years in two weeks, is in pre-school now, ELMO is not seen around here that much.

My daughter LOVES Elmo, but this is child #3 so I could definitely use a break from him. He really needs to quit talking about himself in third person!

Ahhh! Elmo is our friend! After every Elmo's world, he says "Elmo loves you". Yes, it's saccharine and juvenile, but then so are my kids! Thank your lucky stars that it's something that teaches them to read and not the Purple Plagarist (Barney).

First let me say I agree with River. Elmo needs to teach proper english. LOL
But my daughter loves him. She is also into Dora and Mickey Mouse big time. She trades which shows she likes by the day. She likes variety. You have to give your kid other things to watch so you wont have to listen to the same thing all the time.
