I know where I was born, the day I was born, and the name that was giving to me by the foster parents, I was adopted about 8 months after I was born and all I know is my familys medical history.

Here are some sites that are just for your purpose, although, if the location were given, it would be easier to determine if you have an open or closed adoption by law of your location. Best of luck with the search.

Please remember that your birth parents may not want to be found. Sometimes a birthparent will register so that when you become 18 you can go to that site with your information and if there is a match, they will let you know. If you really want to do this, I hope you have the support of your new parents. Prepare yourself for worse case senario incase your birth parents were not the most reputable individuals. Try searching news paper birth announcements for the town you were born. Your parents may have planned to keep you and had your birth announced. Your new birth certificate should have time, date, weight and such that you can compare. Good luck and be strong.
