I have a 7th grader who we ar starting to homeschool, atleast for the rst of the curent year.
Where can we go online to get a curriculum fo the remainder of this school year only and not have to pay full year tuition prices?
Any suggestions would be helpful, homeschooling getting started for dummies is what I need, lol
k12.com is not in louisiana, i already checked it out.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know what the laws are in Louisiana, but you may not need a curriculum - we don't use a single, specific curriculum. Although we do have a textbook for math, most of the rest of our studies are done with library books - reading and copying/dictating great works for English, experiments for science, reading about historic events and people for history... Homeschooling doesn't have to mean a formal program.

Are you looking for Christian or secular? Would you mind starting at the beginning of a program, just to make him or her feel comfortable and capable (by having easy success from the beginning)? There actually is a book called Homeschooling for Dummies, so you might check to see what your local library has on homeschooling, in general.

There is SO much curricula available, I wouldn't even know which direction to send you without more information. Feel free to email me for specifics.
