Well from personal expierence I would say alternate between the bottle and a sippy cup. That way she can get used to the sippy cup but still have her bottle once in awhile. Once she gets used to the sippy cup tell her that she is a big girl and doesn't need the bottle anymore and ask her if she is ready to throw away the bottles. If she answers yes then have her put them in the garbage herself.
That's what I did with my daughter when she was 1 that way she didn't get bottle rot.

My kids -- well the youngest two -- used bottles for a long time....longer than most people deem socially acceptable. The heck with them. What difference does it make if your kid's still on a bottle and carries it around? Just 'cause some other bozos think she's too old? What do you care? I guarantee she won't be hanging on to that bottle, say, when she's ready for school. Until then, why sweat it?
Well, now that I'm done ranting....why not try a sippy cup? Not sure what the "real name" is, but that's what we used to call them. You know, cup with a lid and a small spout that the kids can sip out of. Should work.

Wow! I think you should praise her when she uses a sippy cup! Make it a game that she finds a "magical sippy cup"! It is kind of a bribe but it works! Tell her that if she finds it she will get to stay up 2 extra minutes! Or try another reward! GOOD LUCK!!

when we had to take my daughter off the bottle we tried to make the switch as easy as possible..first we threw out all the bottles in the house..then we went out and bought the soft tip or soft top sippy cups and put water or juice in them and just handed them to her or left them in spots where she would sit her bottle down and come back to..then slowly switch to the harder sippy cups..good luck
