why do we allow horse racing. Anyway not all greyhounds are killed after their racing time is finished. Alot are put up for adoption by greyhound rescue groups. They make great pets and companions. I own a rescue greyhound and I love him

They're not all euthanized. My sister in law has adopted her second greyhound from a rescue in Maryland.

First off, almost ALL GHs are adopted out after they are done racing.

Secondly, they LOVE and LIVE to run!

Third, they are athletes and receive lots of exercise and good care!

Yes, there are a few bad apples, just as there are in ANY sport. Should ALL sports be legislated out of existence because of an occasional bad person???

hi! I actually just did a report on greyhounds. I can't stand how they are treated, but greyhounds love to race. Not all greyhounds are euthanized. some are put up for adoption. Go to petfinder.com if you are interested.

Unfortunately no because they are viewed as property.

There are rescue groups and SOME good owners that sire thier dogs and keep them around. But those who are in if for the $$ are the ones who give it a bad name.
