And if so, how did you tell them without scaring them off? Or do you think it would be best if I didn't say anything at all?

When I met my girlfriend I knew we belonged together, it was love at first sight. We hung out for a while and got to know one another before we dated. We both knew that we were meant to be. We've been together for a couple years now and have a 6 month old son and are planning on getting married (i know we should've gotten married before we had kids but thats not the way it worked out). We still love each other very much and plan to be together forever, we would never do anything to hurt one another.

Yeah I did... and I didn't have to tell him b/c he felt the same way, and now we've been together for nearly 5 years... definitely go for it, what's there to lose?
