I was going to buy a 3 yr old great sulpher crested too from a family. But, decided against it. I feel that it would be more wise to buy a baby and have a fresh start with it, as this other cockatoo would be going on it's 3rd home. I've done my research for over a month now and have already been to mytoos.com so plz I don't really need to be preached to about the ups and downs of too ownership. I have the time for one, noise isn't an issue, and a too would fit perfectly into my family. My problem? I have only been able to find 1 breeder that has babies available. I live in arkansas there are no breeders here. I've searched the united states and found only a handful of breeders and most do not expect any. I'm wanting a lesser or medium sulpher crested too. anyone know of a loving breeder that will ship?

I'm not going in to the shop tonight, but tomorrow when I go, I'll ask Debbie, the owner of the shop where my baby Greenwing is still weaning. If there's one to be had, she'll know where to get it.

My email is enabled, if you'll send me your name and email address, I'll tell her about you and get the information for you. I want your name so I don't sound like a moron when I ask her. (ie. there's this anonymous person on yahoo answers who wants a medium sulpher crested. Can you do a bunch of work for this person who I don't even know their name or how to get ahold of them? LOL)

So, yeah...if you can do that, I'll find out where she can get it. She bought Allejandro last year, a BEAUTIFUL Hyacinth Macaw. He's seriously to die for!

OOOOH....if you'll tell me what state you're in too, that will help. If there's a couple of options, then we can find the one closest to you. Debbie doesn't really support shipping, but that's not to say that the breeder wouldn't.

I came across the same obstacle when looking for an African Grey. All I can say is put your name on a list. I was looking last April and told that they wouldn't be breeding until Fall. Because of the crazy weather patterns, the breeding seasons are all messed up so sometimes you get lucky. My baby Grey was hatched in June 2006. Get your name on a list, that way if one becomes available, you'll get it. I bought my bird from the Crystal Parrot in Southampton, MA. She sells TOO'S as well as a great variety of parrots. her website is www.crystalparrot.com
I'm sure she has her e-mail address and phone number on the site. Maybe you could give her a try.
