I am from India. In India it is very common to oil the hairs with ayurvedic oils and shampoos and trust me it helps. You can go any Indian Grocery store and you can get Hair oil from there. I can give you some names- "Dabur Amla hair Oil", "Coconut Oil".
you can use it at night two days a week. In the morning wash the hair with any shampoo and conditioner. You will see the difference.

I also have dry hair. I do a hot oil treatment once a week. I also use frizz ease hair serum every day after shampooing , this helps make it shiny and controls frizz.

I would use a good conditioner with a low ph to close the cuticle. this enables the cuticle to smooth out, which makes it shinier. Some good ones are Keracare, Kenra, and Bed Head/Tigi Dumb Blonde. Also Redken makes Blondglam, which has a low ph and would do the job....Hope this helps...
