My girlfriend and I plan on getting a couple of dogs in a few years after college. She wants a Yorkshire Terrier for her first dog, and I want a Corgi...Could someone tell me about a Corgi, just for some quick info. Thanks. p.s. I currently have an Australian Cattle Dog mix, and it's the most wonderful dog to own so I was thinking about that too, lol

I currently own two purebred Cardigan Welsh Corgis. Remember one is with a tail one is with out. The Pembroke is the tailess breed, Pemis are more on the terrier side and sometimes have aversions to other dogs and can be a little more temperamental. Cardigans are Drover dogs or cattle dogs and do well with other dogs. Despite there size and build they are very active and like to herd. Since you already have a cattle dog then a Corgi is a good choice. They are great loyal and loving with there families and are quite good little gaurd dogs!!! They are my favorite breed of dog.

are you wanting the Pembroke or the Cardigan welsh corgi? yes they make got pets but you have to be willing to train them in obedience and also try doing agility with the.. you have to give them something to do or they find things to do on there own. when you do fdecide to get one please find breeder that know alot about the breed not just back yard breeders.
