the guy he rides with is not using his car because his wife uses it. So, all the driving (82miles round trip) is done by my husband. He gets 13mpg and is only charging the guy $60.00 every two weeks for gas ( he would drive 4 times in that 2 wks). What about the miles on our car? Am I wrong, or is my husband getting stung for being a sucker?

First off does he have to drive a vehicle with such poor mileage? Is it a work truck that he has to drive or a gas sucking Suburban. Could he drive a Honda Civic or something more economical. If he has to drive this particular vehicle for work reasons then his passenger should cough up half the gas if not more for maintenance. If he doesn't have to drive this particular vehicle then I would say something closer to $40.00 per week. Take an average gas mileage of 25 mpg and divide it by 82 then times 4 then times price per gallon. Add maintenance and it should be around $40.00 per week.
If your husband is nice guy you probably won't be able to get him to ask for more.
