the AK pistols are the same action as an AK rifle. If you need to fully disassemble it you should be able to find instructions on the internet, or barring that the Gun Digest books of Firearms Assemble and Disassembly are good. You'll want the Centerfire Rifles volume for this gun, since it is a pistol length variant of the common rifle.

FYI for all the "an AK is a rifle" folks, an AK47 pistol is manufactured (not converted) with a barrel under 16" and no shoulder stock. If a shoulder stock is ever attached it becomes a short barreled rifle and you enter into legal trouble areas. AK and AR platforms are often manufactured as pistol variants, and are legal so long as the manufacturing rules are followed.

Do you know who built the AK 47 pistol? I've never shot one but they look neat. I'm not even sure if they tear down the same way. There should be a square button on the back of receiver. Push it in and remove the top cover. Push in on the recoil spring and lift it up a little and pull it back out of bolt carrier. Pull bolt back and up out of receiver and below that is the trigger housing. You should be able to see what holds the trigger assy. Take out the retainer clip or spring and remove pins.
Go to theakfiles.com (akfiles.com?) to the AK/SKS forum. Knowledgeable people there and free download manuals. It's free to join and you make up your own name & password.
The AK 47 pistols are fairly new on the market. They are imported, torn down, and the receiver and full auto parts are replaced with legal American made semi-auto parts and receivers. Kits can be bought fairly cheap and home assembled with American made receiver which you have to buy separately. That may be what you have, a built up kit by a non-professional. You might take it to a gun store or gunsmith better yet and have it checked out.

""""There are no such things as automatic pistols, only semi-automatic, or full machine gun pistols, which are really mini sub machine guns and not true pistols. A pistol by definition used a hammer to strike the round, not a spring loaded recoiling firing pin """"

What school did you go to to learn that, Jethro?

A "pistol", BY DEFINITION, is any weapon designed to fire with one hand. Period.

Notice that there is nothing about firing pins and hammers and magazines and recoiling and cylinders and auto whatever bullsh*t in that sentence.

A Beretta M93 is an automatic pistol. So is the right broomhandle Mauser. Want about a dozen more examples?

In response to the OP, those pins are held in by that funky spring retainer clip system that they all seem to have. Jerk that loose and the pins usually fall out in your hand. BUT....if you don't know what you're doing, bud, DON'T do it! Let an experienced AK person do it for you!

Chances are your problem is something as simple as a rough feed ramp or the wrong type of ammo. I've seen AK's that jammed on every other round of soft nose. They all prefer FMJ, of course. Have you tried diff types?

convinced, you may mount many upload-ons for the AK-40 seven rifles on the Drako pistol. ------------------ @Karle; The $5 tax is the move tax to purchase an AOW, the making tax for an AOW is $2 hundred in case you at the instantaneous are not a form II FFL (SOT) producer. So it is going to value an better $2 hundred to legally positioned a vertical grip on the forearm.

No such thing as an "AK-47 pistol". AK stands for "Aftomat Kolashnikov" which translated from Russian to English means "Kolashnikov's Automatic Rifle", which I doubt would imply it is a pistol. There are no such things as automatic pistols, only semi-automatic, or full machine gun pistols, which are really mini sub machine guns and not true pistols. A pistol by definition used a hammer to strike the round, not a spring loaded recoiling firing pin as in a machine gun, preventing multiple rounds from being fired by holding the trigger down.

just wondering, but why the heck would you use an ak47 pistol and a mac90 for hunting? if yor not, then why the heck do you have a semiauto pistol resembling a deadly assault rifle and a submachine gun capable of spraying over 900 bullets per minute?

anyway, i'm only 13, so i know briefly about guns. you should ask your local dealer for a manual or something. check to make sure yor using the right kind of cartridges, and check to make sure yor gun is clean and free of dirt, dust, etc. oil the hammer and the trigger to make sure its moving smoothly.
