For starter's, I'm 15. My parent's favorite thing to do is look me up via Google. By doing this, they've already found one of my old blogs that I no longer use and they've found out that a couple of my good friends are lesbians. I am a lesbian and I don't want my parents to know this yet. I have a MySpace, but instead of using my real name, I made up a fake one, I changed the state I live in, and I'm really careful about deleting the history when I'm done checking it. On MySpace, under "orrentation," I marked "lesbian" because that's true. (My friends all know I'm a lesbian, and people who don't find out when they ask and I tell them. They're all very acceptive of it.) My mom has also been known to check my email when I was in bed (but I have recently changed accounts AND passwords).

Is there some way that I can tell them I want privacy? Or, being 15, is that asking too much?

The reason your mom maybe doing this is because of all the things that can happen to people on the internet. Your only 15 years old, so you really can't ask for much privacy. Sit down and talk to your parents about you being a lesbian. They can either accept it or not. You won't know until you discuss it with them.

There shouldn't be any snooping. It seems the parent/child relationship is lacking communication. If there was that, there would be no reason for them to be snooping on you. Is there a reason you can't open up to them? Would coming out resolve this issue. Perhaps they are wondering if you are or aren't and they are snooping for the answer? I hope you can find a little trust from your family!
