It is okay to drink beer moderately, not as excessively. Drinking beer excessively changes the way person thinks and the way person acts. In the health sources drinking beer/or wine excessively slowly kill liver, etc I think it's a good idea to have the clean system in both of you for a while when both of you are ready to produce a baby-the baby to become a healthy baby if your goal is that way. Around having the future kids, make a good example for them by drink a bit or only drink beers on occasions drink wine or beer moderately is the best way to go in every areas. For me, my husband and I are occasionally drinkers because I witnessed my best friend many years to drinking excessively-get drunk all the time and drove in her condition which killed her. I made my choice to take care of myself and drink moderately (for enjoyment) and use it to my good judgment. Drinking is a choice for everyone. Between you and your husband, you both need to discuss and how both of you feel about drinking. I cannot tell you how to make the decisions based on drinking. We all have the choices, it is all up to us if we want to make a bad choices or good choices. I would suggest you to talk about it with your closest friend who knows you the best and you get more ideas to know what choice you want to make. Most of all, It has to be between you and your husband.

In moderation, yes. Lots of it in frequency will lower his sperm count. However, his age also has a lot to do with it. If he's older and already has a low count then he might want to lay off the booze for a while.
