I meet this pretty cool girl online. We have had a good time talking to each other. We have a date set to meet each other during the day in a public place just to hang out and get to know each other better. Is this a good idea or should i try to meet someone at the library or work or something like that. Also. She just got out of a long relationship. Am i on the rebound or will those issues not effect or encounter.

I don't think it is a bad idea. I think more people are meeting others online. I think you did a good job of being safe by meeting during the day in a public place. You might also want to tell a friend you might call them or to call you during the date to make sure everything is fine as a safety precaution.

I think meeting a girl at the library or work might also be a good places to look for potential dates. Just keep your options open to various places, that way you can meet as many people as possible.

Good luck.

Well I have actually talked to someone that I met off the internet. We had ended up being together for 4 yrs. We are now friends and talk frequently. So I dont really see anything wrong with meeting someone off of the net but the down side is that your gambling here. People do have a tendency to lie about things and looks. Sometimes the peresonality is great while the face looks like a mudduck (lol). But thats the gamble you take but I wouldnt stop talkin to her if I was you becuase you might end up passing up your possible future. Also with her just coming out of a relationship I would honestly take my time with her. Dont try to rush things just so you dont become a rebound. Once again this is a gamble you are going to have to take but just dont rush things. Then you will never be able to get hurt if so. Hope I was helpful.

I have had good experiences with it and bad ones. I am now dating the greatest guy I could ever meet. If you don't take a chance you may never meet the right woman. I do not think there is any certain place that is better or worse to meet someone. It just depends on the person. Being that you just got out of a long term relationship I would take my time though, be fair to yourself and who ever you go out with. Good luck

can be both. sounds like a simple answer, but it is. i've had some experiance in this though. there used to be a stigma about online dating and meeting people over the internet, but in today's day an age people are just to busy to go out.

if you guys have already talked and all, you're doing fine. its fine. the stigma isnt there anymore from online dating as it was ten years ago. however, you both seem to be on the rebound, so if you aren't really looking for a rebound girl, make sure you take things real slow if you are interested in a relationship at all. otherwise it would just be a relationship for just certain reasons, and not benifeting the growth at all.

Life is about taking chances and don't expect too much to happen on your first official 1st date. Just go with the flow. If she has agreed to meet you then obviously she is ready to have a relationship.

It's a good idea to meet, just to see what she is really all about.
Then after meeting you will know if u can continue
or if u will need to let it go, at least u tried.

I would go for it and take things slow. It could work out just as you two planned.
