Why do they only act christlike on Sunday, and then act so worldly during the rest of the week? Don't they know that they are setting bad examples of being a Christian???

Exactly- and there are many like this- Did you know these people will be told "Depart from me I never knew you" on the day they meet the Lord? Jesus tells us that being luke warm is horrible.
1 John 1:6
If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;
Matthew 23:25
"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

Some don't even act Christlike on Sundays. I'll never forget last Easter when I saw a lady peel out of a church parking lot dressed to the nines for the holiday, cut off another car and flip them the bird. I was mildly amused.

I have conflicts within myself over this question.
One side says they are hypocrites and they are not Christians. That may be the case for some. Therefore here is one answer.
The other side of me says that I do not always act according to the commandments of Jesus. I mess up big all the time. However, all Jesus requires is repentance and acceptance that He is who He is, and a change within because, etc., etc. However we are still in the flesh until it dies. I apologize in advance for the bumper sticker quote but I thin it applies... Forgiven not perfect.

Have you ever read the Bible? Turning the tables, mocking language, He even called people insulting names at times. Sometimes the situation calls for harsh behavior, but always in control. At the turning of the tables we see Him stop and release the doves as opposed to smashing the cages.

Because some people are not full committed to God. They are luke warm or putting on a second face.
Maybe they are religion's and not in relationship with their creator.
Religion person goes because it tradion but a person who known God go to worship and hear go word. They walk and pray with God outside of church and Sunday and Wednesday.
