Ignorance, inability to accept that they are wrong.

The best analogy is like looking at a clock, and accepting that the minute hand moves round whilst refusing to accept that this leads to the hour hand moving.

If they were the same then the definition would be the same.

Macro - very large in scale

Micro - Very small in scale

Micro in evolution is the rearrangement of the current DNA.

Macro in evolution is adding to the current DNA.

Mirco Evolution has been seen in nature because of Man's existance on the Earth and the changes we made to the enviroment.

Macro in evolution is unproven. If animals have compatial DNA animals should be able to breed cross speices which they can not.

An example of this is a new type of cat called the Devon Rex cat which did not evolve but rather it was a mutation. Science also believes that the Hammerhead shark was a mutation rather then years and years of evolution.

Can an evolutionist explain behavior patterns of animals? Why would evolution allow a shark to stop moving if flipped over? What purpose does it serve but to put the creature in danger of other predators?

Because micro-evolution dose not disprove the bible. But the simple truth is that macro-evolution is just many centuries of micro-evolution. Silly Christians, logic is for intelligent people.

Because it's a favorite story for the creationist propaganda sites to tell. It "goes down easy" for them because people in general don't understand what a "species" is - they apparently think that after microevolution has turned an earlier form of plant or animal into a later form, some kind of magic thing has to happen to _also_ make that new plant or animal into a new species.

Yeah, I know it doesn't make any sense at all, but people seem to find that reasoning convincing.

Remember though that not all Christians are creationists. Many of them know better than to spread that nonsense.

It's a straw they can grasp at.

Please do not over-generalize. I suspect most Christians accept evolution. Not all are fundamentalist, bible literalists.
