My friend is visiting from Cananda and we planned on going to Miami on saturday for the day, then i realized it's superbowl sunday! i don't want to go because the traffic will be a nightmare..(we live in Naples less than 2 hours away normally)
everything will be packed and crowded and more expensive.
i know she will be disapointed..she is already carring on about the fact that my boyfriend lives with me or we live with eachother, and she wanted a girls trip! I feel like not going to miami will sour the experiance of this trip when she complains about it...what shall i tell her or what can we do instead?? PS i just got my car back after a bad accident i couldn't take it having the tiniest scratch right now...and also she wants my bf to say home...i dont' want to go to miami alone on superbowl weekend or any weekend for that matter. I think you need to set some ground rules with your friend. She sounds like a high maintenance girl that always gets her way. There must be some things you could do around your hometown. Try those out. A museum, or movie, or walking around sightseeing. Let her know that you don't feel comfortable driving to Miami after your last accident. If she gets huffy about it then tell her the only way you will go there is if your boyfriend goes too. Then if she still doesn't like that tell her to just get a hotel room and amuse herself for the weekend. You can't just drop your everyday routine for her because she said so

CMON... You LIVE with your boyfriend. Your friend is coming from far to visit you... Leave your man at home, and Go to miami... Its not like she comes and visits all the time, and you will see your man when you get back.. NOT A BIG DEAL... But I bet if you dont take her, she wont visit for a long time. Id be really mad if my friend did that to me. Yea, it will be busy... GET OVER IT.. there will still be TONS to do. Go have fun.
