Hotel 17, in Manhattan, Lower East Side/Stuvy. Turn off the lights and there are "things" that glow in the dark. Each room had different "things" glowing.

Try the Royalton. The hotel has a sexy feel about it, and seems to cater to couples looking for extra romance .They ahve alot of different types of rooms so make sure to get something you are looking for.
We stayed in one of there deluxe rooms that had a round bathub for two. The room had alot of mood lighting and well placed mirrors (without being too tacky). Also the minibar featured items that you might not find in most hotels.

Kew Motor Inn in Queens, clearly one of the best places to go. Easily accessible from the Kew Gardens interchange where the Grand Central, Van Wyck and the end of the Jackie Robinson parkway all meet at Union Turnpike.

You sound like the type of girl that would like the place linked below. It probably is going to seem like The Carlyle in Manhattan to you. It also may be way over your budget, but check it out. Maybe you could scrape together some money and go.
Have fun!
