I have never heard of Prozac and Paxil being prescribed at the same time. They are pretty much the same thing, and are used to treat depression (which often accompanies anxiety/panic).

Klonopin is for panic attacks, and also for people who suffer with seizures. You need to take one about an hour before you leave the house--they don't work really fast. On the positive side, they work for a longer period of time than other things prescribed for panic/anxiety.

I may consider seeking the advice of another psychiatrist. Paxil and Klonopin are highly addictive and VERY difficult to come off of. There are other meds that are easier on the system.

Also, have you looked into some alternative methods to go along with your meds? Like taking a yoga class, meditation class, or having some massage or other body work done? I know from experience that these things can really help alleviate some of the symptoms by helping to alleviate stress and worry.

Good luck to you!

For one thing I can not believe your DR is mixing these medicines that is a no no. I would see another DR and talk to him about getting on Amytriptylene. This is a good medicine for anxiety and depression. I have been taking it for 14 years.

Paxil, Prozac are all strong medicines in their own right and I would not be taking this lethal combination, especially 4 times in a day, no wonder your having severe panic disorder. It is your body telling you enough!!!!

All these medicines should only be taken at bedtime or no more than twice a day and only by themselves (not to be mixed)...4???

Don't be afraid to change Doctors either, a good Dr will see the problem immediately (other Doctors presciptions)

Too many people making fun of a real problem. Are you also on an antianxiety Valium, xanax or the like? You should also be in some sort of group therapy so you can work out your issues. Other people can be very helpful in making suggestions on how they deal with their panic problems. It really does help

Its not a laughing matter, but they an be controlled with meds and lifestyle changes. You should be seeing a psychologist to get to the bottom of what set them off and under the care of a psychiatrist to monitor your meds. I have a PRN Ativan script that I take if I feel I'm getting out of control. I lay down for 20 min until it kicks in and I'm fine. Talk to your Dr

Go to a new doctor. All the meds are unnecessary...are you a walking zombie or just a sleeping zombie?
