Just be careful. I'm 26 and if I was dating a 39 year old it wouldn't be for a long term relationship. And I'm a pretty decent guy who would make that known upfront. Make sure you are both on the same page on the terms and future of the whole thing, even if you're not in it for the long term (*no implication here*).

When I was 20 I dated a guy that was 52. He was rather immature and I was rather mature so I figure we evened out somewhere around 35. I think that the age thing is really a matter of personal interest not numbers. If you get along and have things in common, there's no reason why not to have a relationship. It may however reqiure you both to have a bit thicker skin than most as there will always be people to pass judgment even when it's none of their business. Good luck!

Who cares what other people think! If you both are happy, the age doesn't mean a thing. Personally, if I were 39 and seeing a 26 year old man, I'd be ecstatic. You go, girl!

More honor to the the 39-years old woman. She knows how to be attractive. And another point: this is none of our business. If these two enjoy each other, if they want to be together, it is great. Our approval or disapproval should not mean anything in the cases like this one.

To read some of the responses questions like this recieve makes me think that there are a lot of shallow people out there, (and really immature) If people are hung up on a number, instead of being with someone that might make them happy then it's there loss, I say if it makes you happy what should it matter what some other moron thinks. My personal opinion. If you were to live your life always concerned with what everyone else thought, You probably aren't going to be very happy.

I personally think that if I was old enough to babysit them then the age difference is too mcuh (i.e. if I was already a teenager when they were born then I am too old for them, robbing the cradle, et cetera). What will they have in common with such a generation gap? My Mom and Dad are 9 years apart. She has said before that they were too far apart to have much in common, but they are still together.

I don't see anything wrong with that. I mean, the man is old enough to know what he's doing. It's not just your decision but his as well. He's a grown man and you're a mature woman and if you find him fulfilling and he finds your fulfilling as well then you're fine. Don't let others discourage you. Society will always talk. Like a saying in spanish, "Los perros ladran, hay que dejarlos." (Or something like that) It's basicly saying people will always talk, you have to let them. Either way, it comes down to it being your decision and yours alone, oh yea, and your partner's.
Anyway, I think you get me.

GOOD LUCK!

You are both adults and if he is ready for it, then go for it. Age is only a number. My boyfriend is not quite that much younger, but out of the norm, I am older than him. Only by a year though.
