I have no idea...im hoping so...but thong bikinis are so 80's ...come on...granted a bikini doesnt really cover alot more but a thong is just ridiculous especially if your at the beach.

i have worn one on the beaches in florida and no one has ever said anything to me. They are pretty common in the popular areas
