Why is it that guys get more nervous around the opposite sex than girls?

I have always wondered this. Guys act really silly around the girls they like.

I think the main reason why guys act silly around a girl that they like so much is because they're shy. They don't know what to say and everytime they see a girl that they like, their minds go blank or they say something out of the ordinary. Guys can get nervous as well when it comes to girls. Girls can be like that, too. It's like a first crush- don't know what to say. There are other reasons, but who knows?

The ones that act "really silly" around you are the guys that really like you. They act silly because they are not mature and it's a childish response just in case they are turned down. Turn them down or push them away and they'll make it out to be a big joke. Embarrassment is a terrible thing to a young man (and older ones too). If they are acting silly or goofy just take it for granted they like you and act on it accordingly.

Some guys have never approached a girl so they dont know how to act. Otherguys tend to act that way around anyone, and are just being themselves. Girls have expectations in guys, and guys get nervus because they to tend to focus on that and figure out what they can do to meet that.

You obviously haven't met me. XD I'm the queen of being awkward around guys. I'm shy in general, but guys intimdate me. Mostly because of crud from my past, but that's a whole other thing.

For me personally, I think it's the fear of what you (women) will say when we approach you. Subconsiously, we are afraid that we may not be good looking enough so we try and make a good impression. And, It's easier for women. They can date whom ever they want, guys can only date the ones that will let them.
