Absolutely not. If the gray matter just beneath it is dull, thats another story.

Hey there... all I have to say is what makes you happy is what you should be. People who have curley hair want straight hair and those who are mousy brown want to be a vibrant RED!! I have been a red head *not by nature* for years and LOVE IT ~ and for those who dont like it... WHO CARES! It makes me happy and thats what I do.
If you want to go back to your natural color there are chemical color strippers out there. I would really suggest that you go to a professional to get the color stripped out and then use a clear filler to put the natural shine back into it!
What ever you do, make yourself HAPPY life is too short to give a rats *** about what makes others happy.

think about how many beautiful red head celebs there are? susan sarandon, kate winslet, nicole kidman, drew barrymore, they all have them queing up. red hair is beautiful.
If you want to go back to red, either wait for it to grow out, or go to a hair dressers and get it chemical stripped, but i'd be careful, it can leave your hair in poor condition, so moisturise it and use heaps of conditioner after.
Also, something i do, is chose a dye that's my natural colour, dye it that, and then when it grows out, your natural roots will be the same colour as your dyed hair.

Go to a professinal, they'll know what to do with your hair. Red hair isn't a turn off. who cares what the guys think, guys are picky? I think red hair looks good on people that have a nice good tone and red hair that isn't 'dull'. Red hair has to keep its color looking good.
If you want to dye your hair on your own, make sure the type of dye your getting. You mgiht of gotten the one that washes out in 2-3 weeks! Watch out for labels on the hair coloring boxes, and remember to a shampoo and condinator that keeps the color in when you dye it.

I do not think red hair is a turn off. But of course it depends on peoples personal preferences and on your skin tone.
Red hair dye is hard to get out of your hair once you dye it. If you would like to go back to your natural color hair dye alone is not enough. Go to Sally Hansen Beauty Supply and buy RED OUT. You add this to your hair dye and it takes the red tinge out of your hair. You might have to do this for a while for the red to stay gone. Trust me I went from red to blonde and it took awhile for me not to look like a strawberry! :)

A turnoff? No! I think it's great! To get your natural color back, all you have to do is let it grow out again. You might not like its looks so much while it's growing out, but in the end it will be worth it!
