shes interested in everything i do with my hands and she now loves to pick the keys off my lapto keyboard, i try to move her head away but she just ges right back with even more determination, but i thought that may be like a reward, so i stopped moving her head, thinking ignoring would work, but i looked down and she had 3 keys off, how do i make her stop?

Is the cage near you when you are on your laptop? If so, when she picks at your keys, put her back in her cage - leave the door open so she can come back out. After the 3rd time, closer her door for a bit, then let her back out if you want to.
This worked for mine when he was being 'bad'. He will still do it sometimes (he goes on top of the wall unit where there are things he can break with his Birdzilla tail.) but when you stand up or go to move him and make him stop - he leaves pretty quickly on his own.
Some people will say not to do this, everyone has different ideas and it's whatever works for you. Mine likes my laptop also, but he doesn't pick the keys anymore, now he just tries to figure out where the warm air comes from.
Good luck!

Hi there. This is just an idea. Look for an old keyboard. Ask around. Many are just discarded. Some places that work on old computers may have a cheapy for you. The idea is for your dear bird to have his own Keyboard so that he can do his homework too. Play with his and act excited and since you are flock leader, he should get interested and leave your lap top alone. Both of you can work on your own. Have a tweet year.

Birds that are intelligent like 'teils love to play with whatever you are "playing" with that you don't want them to have! Instead of just moving her head - give her something else to play with as a distraction. You probably have to move her to another place to sit not directly on your laptop. Try moving her a little bit away, giving her something else to play with and verbally praising her for playing with the new item.
If you need to put her away in her cage during this time - do it before you start working and give her a treat - if you do it in response to her not stopping her play with the keys, she might take this as "punishment" which isn't good to associate with the cage.

Number one Idea keep her away from tthe lap top
#2 try to get her her own lap top, like a broken one some where or try a key board from an old computer, but make sure you wash it first, so there is no germs on it.

Cockatiels are as curious and mischievious as a toddler. Mine always wants to walk on the keyboard and I have to put her away so she doesn't poop between the keys. That's just how they are. You may want to put your bird away when you are on your laptop.

I'm not sure, but I find that hilarious! Animals are so funny sometimes. Once, I suspected that our puppy had made off with my wallet and chewed it to pieces because it was leather, but I found it later. I'm sure you don't want to cage it, would rather let it go free, so that wouldn't be a useful suggestion to make.

get a perch with a toy on it or you could put her on her your shoulder or allow her to sit on your head.
