At my heaviest I was 244 lbs. and 5'6. I had a sedentary lifestyle and ate anything I wanted, big portions and all. I joined Weight Watchers 3 weeks ago, am following it strictly, and lost 5 pounds the first week (water weight probably). I started working out 5 days a week religiously with a personal trainer 2 weeks ago doing 35 min. cardio, 20 min. of weights, alternating upper and lower every other day, and a heavy abs routine. In the past two weeks I have only lost an additional 1.6 pounds. I'm getting so ticked off!

I know muscle weighs more than fat and all, but I have gone from being an absolute pig to an active person who eats less than half what they used to. I should be losing weight faster, shouldn't I?

I'm not going to give up, but I just am frustrated because I'm working out like crazy and am watching every bite of food and it seems like nothing is happening. My clothes don't even feel looser. HELP!

I have the same situation. I know how you feel. The difference is my clothes Do feel looser. Just keep at it. I walk at least a mile on the treadmill a day at a speed of 2.8., ride the stationary bike
1 mile, do 100 ab crunches and all the machines at the Y. and work out with dumb bells. You do NOT wnt to lose the weight fast. If it goes off fast it will come back just as fast. Forget weighing except for once a week. Measure your self-----arms, calves, thighs, etc and write down the measurements--keep up what you are doing and I know you will see the difference in a month when you measure again. Good Luck

I've been following Weight Watchers for over a year and have lost 45 lbs to date. I can tell you that 1.6lbs in two weeks is fantastic!!! Healthy weight lost is 0.5 to 2 lbs per week. You don't want to lose faster than that. I can also tell you that whenever you make a big change, whether it be with eating or exercise, it can take a few weeks to see the results. When you make big changes to both at the same time, it may take a little longer. I would recommend you give it a little bit longer. If you continue to lose, you're just fine. If you stay the same or gain, talk to your leader. Explain what you've been doing. Your leader will be able to give you some good advise and help you stay on track.

Don't forget, you're now down 6.6 lbs, that's an average of 2.2 lbs per week. You're doing great!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!
