I believe the code is underneath the lid of your fuse box under the hood. At least that's where it was on an Acura. There is also an card that comes with some cars, (sort of like a credit card looking type deal), usually found in the glove box. Try under the fuse box lid under the hood. Good luck!

The reason the dealer is charging is because they have to remove the radio to get at the serial number. Remove the stereo from the car yourself and provide them with the SN they should be able to get the code from that right at the service desk. Try another dealer. If that doesn't work, while the stereo is out of the car put in an after market one.

PS - it isn't hard to take the stereo out. You just need to know the secret steps. See link

I am in the same boat as you and it sucks bad, you are going to have to get the sticker off the back of the radio so you will have to get the radio out, you can take it to best buy they will only charge you $15-30 supposedlly. If it's a honda like mine you call 800-999-1009 when you get the radio out and they will tell you the code. I haven't had music for 2 weeks cuz I'm too broke to take it to best buy. Good luck!!!!
