More than likely on a ship. Maybe a tender or aircraft carrier. Make the most of your enlistment. Take college courses and earn your degree. You can pursue a medical career while fulfilling your admin duties and once your current enlistment is over and you re-up put in a request chit to change rates. I'm suggesting this because once you get out you will need the training in order to get a career that's in demand. Administration jobs outside of the military are hard to come by. Medical jobs have shortages. Also set aside as much of a savings as you can so that you will have a nest egg to take care of your basic needs for awhile once you decide to get out. I'd suggest a 20 year career but not too many people want that obligation anymore. Good luck in boot camp and remember take advantage of what the military offers you. They pay for your college. You might even consider becoming an officer. Has your recruiter discussed the BOOST program with you?? ASK about it before you leave for basic okay.

You go where the Navy needs you. Which could mean just about any where. I was stationed in the Republic of the Philippines for 5.5 years. I was on 2 different ships and spent 4.5 years with the Sea Bee's. I've been around the world 11 times and been to 82 different countries. Like I said, just about any where.

That will be up to the US Navy where you will be
stationed at. This also depends on openings in
the Admin field at these different Naval bases!!
This also will include duty on board a Naval Ship!!

If you're going to A school after boot, do your very best. The top of the class get a better chance of their choice of orders. But...in my son's case, he didn't get his choices (not at the top) but got a Fast Frigate out of Yokosuka, Japan. He wasn't happy about it (wanted to be stationed near home) until he got there. Besides falling in love with Japan (and some Japanese girls), and all the liberty ports he hit, he had a blast.
Hang in there! Calm winds and following seas!

While in basic training, you will have the opportunity to complete a 'dream sheet'. If Navy requirements allow it, you stand a good chance of your first deployment being the one that you requested.
