I have hundreds of tracks that I have brought off i-tunes, downloaded from friends and copied off cd's on my pc, it's taken me years to find some of the tracks l have and some l wont be able to find again, l need to have my pc repaired asap and dont have enough disc's to put the music onto neither will my computer stay on long enough for me to burn a cd (Hence the reason for getting it repaired as something is wrong with it), is there any where l can upload and store them for free online till my reformat is done? Thanks very much.

It would take you much longer to upload the amount of songs it would take to fill up a 650+Mb blank CD than it would to burn it. You won't find anyone to host it and if you did, once they saw what it was it'd probably get taken down as they'd assume you were sharing music illegally.

I'd suggest you take your PC to someone who knows what they're doing. If you have enough free space on your hard drive (equal to the amount of songs that you want to back up), I'd use a program like Partition Magic (every good computer tech has it) and repartition the hard drive, mount the two partitions from a Knoppix CD, copy the MP3's and what not to the new partition, then format the old partition and reinstall windows. Once all is back to normal, you can either copy all your MP3's back to the C: partition and delete the 2nd partition, or you can keep that partition just to store stuff in just in case you have to reformat again, all the stuff you want backed up won't be hurt.

Alternatively, if you have a second hard drive you can do the same thing with it. A repair place should have one that could temporarily store your data, although they usually charge extra for it. Mounting the drives with a bootable Knoppix CD will let you get accomplished what you need to without having to use your ailing Windows installation. Heck, that bootable Knoppix CD might even have burning software on it (just checked, it does!). You could make your CD's from that, provided you went out and bought more CD's ;-)

connect your ipod on your comp with the aid of usb cable, then open up the itunes application on your pc, in case you have not have been given it get carry of it, it incredibly is loose. elect the 'library' tab, then merely drag n drop the songs into the record...as quickly as you have finished that inclusive of your songs, spotlight the songs, then pass to record, precise left, and click sync songs onto ipod. Presto.
