My best friend is Wiccan and wants me to use this love spell or potion on a friend of mine that I have a crush on. I wonder if these things really work. What are your thoughts, experiences, etc.

They do work, but shouldn't be done. You should never put a Spell on anyone that influences their behavior, it is against the Wiccan rede,"An' it harm none, do as ye will". You are harming them by making them do something they wouldn't. Also, Be careful of what you ask for, say, for example, you wanted to stay pretty forever. You could die, which would be one way of staying pretty forever. Also, Wiccan Rituals and Spells are like prayers, not wish lists, you need to prepare for them with Ritual Baths, Grounding and Centering, Energy raising, Invoking the Elements, Casting a Circle, etc. If you do not know how to do all of this, they wouldn't work for you. This isn't a game to be played with to get a boyfriend, this is a RELIGION. Please be respectful of that. Blessed Be!

Wiccan Love Spells

Yes, love spells can work very well. They can also be a total waste of time. It all depends on how skilled the person is who is casting them. How well do you know how to ground and center? How much experience do you have casting circles, raising energy, and releasing energy and properly directing it to your purpose? How well are you familiar with the specific energies of the ingredients of the spell you will use? Have you researched the correspondences you will be using and do you have any positive/negative experiences with using them? How many years experience do you and your friend have using this particular type of magic? Will you know what to do if something goes unexpectedly? Will you be using ceremonial magic, chaos magic, voodoo, folk magic, or some other magical system?

If you don't have any experience or anyone qualified to teach you the basics, the best you can accomplish is positive thinking or wishful thinking. The worst you can do is to open a door that you aren't experienced enough to handle. If you just want a pastime, burn a pretty candle and sing your favorite love song. Have fun.

If you want to learn magic, find a qualified mentor who will help you slowly build a foundation of experience from which to build on and who will teach you valuable lessons in magical ethics.

No, no, & NO!!!!

Real Wiccans would not put a "love spell" on anyone specific.
It is ethically wrong and against the Wiccan Rede. It violates a person's free will.

How would you like it if the creepiest person you knew put a spell on you???? I'm not saying you are creepy, but how would you feel about being made to love someone against YOUR will?

Why don't you try talking to your crush? Ask them out to a movie? Try being honest & yourself! The results might surprise you.

There are ways to increase your attractiveness to other people, but no, there is no ethical way to force, manipulate, or "magic" someone into loving you.

Ask yourself how you would feel to discover that someone you're nuts about had magicked you into feeling that way.

You're trying to avoid taking a risk.

Take the risk, and tell the person you've got a crush on that you like him/her and would like to spend some time with him/her.

Yes they work but its generally a bad idea. I know a guy who used one a girlfriend that he had at the time and later on realized she wasn't all that great after all. So needless to say he has a stalker who's "in love". When it comes to magick ask yourself would I want someone using this on me?

Yes, Love spells (attracting Love) do work.

But anything to "Make" them love you, won't work in the long run.

Try this instead.

For those of you who wanted a Love spell,

You need:
A pink candle
a Pen
a piece of paper.

Write your name on the candle with the pen. Lick your thumb and wipe it over your name to seal your intent.

Make a list of the qualities you want in a perfect mate.

Light the candle and place the list under your candle and Light.
(please use common sense when working with FIRE.)

potions to you are the same as medicines and drugs to the rest of the world. yes you can enhance a persons hormones with specific chemicals, increasing their sex drive. however, it doesnt necessarily mean it will make them fall madly in love with you and you will live happily ever after... it means they will morelikely take u for the night. lol.

instead of relying on "magics" and stuff, why dont you work for what you want?

real wiccans don't do love spells--they interfere with another's free will, thus violating their rede of harm none
