It depends on your culture, but the popular method is to remember that YOUR ring is a WEDDING ring, and is so not worn till you are WED. An engagement ring (the ring you use to propose) is given to the woman and is worn until the wedding, when she too will receive her wedding ring.

In the United States and most western countries, you wait until you're married before wearing your ring. The woman ends up receiving two rings: The engagement ring that you give her beforehand, and the wedding ring that you give her during the wedding.

But in Denmark, Finland, Germany, and Sweden you also wear your ring before the wedding. This almost always ends up being the same as your wedding ring, though... men usually don't get two rings.

Unfortunately, no u do not wear yours. For some reason we have to wear an engaement ring as a way to let other men know we are taken. I personally dont think thats fair because im sure it would be nice if it went both ways but thats not how it works so we wear the engaement ring...you wear nothing and on your wedding day, you put the wedding band on her finger and she puts the wedding band on your finger and thats it. You probably dont have to go shopping for your band until one or two months before the big day.

An engagement ring is just the "mark" to let other men know that the woman isn't available. It's like branding livestock. She's claimed property! Men do not have to wear such a mark until they are married which means they can still appear unattached. Things REALLY need to change on that score.

You wait till you get married. Only the woman wears an engagement ring.

You can wear yours if she proposed to you and gave you an engagement ring.
If you proposed to her, she wears the ring until the ceremony, and then she gets a second ring and you get your first one.

Traditionally you wait until the wedding, but you don't have to. I've seen a few guys that wear it before, and I think it's a sweet gesture of the commitment you're making.

It is tradition for the man to wait to wear his wedding band at the ceremony; however, my fiance loves to wear his and does wear his daily. He does it to show his commitment to me as I wear my ring to show my commitment to him! So its really up to the individual!
