with me-over the course of a month or two i would get severe pain in my stomache, all around my side and back...so bad that my mom & dad had to send me to the e.r. ... they would take blood and they told me i was fine. they told me i had some gas problem or something. finally after the 3rd time going to the e.r. my mom called in a doctor she knew, he took one look and touch on me and called a surgeon-20 minutes later i was in surgery having my appendix that was about to burst taken out...then i was in the hospital for 7 days because of the infection that had grown in my body. it was bad. so painful. my appendix had looped around, which was why the e.r. doctors couldnt tell it was my appendix, and my white blood count wasnt elevated so that was misleading too. the pain is severe. you'll know if she has appendicitis because there is no way she'd be able to play basketball. she'll be crying cuz she's curled up in ball and cant move. you'll know. oh, and i had a fever. ne way good luck!

Actually I went to the ER last week for stomach pains which turned out to be apendicitus. My pain wasnt like most peoples. I felt it in my whole stomach and I wasnt really hurting on the right side. I was vomiting alot and the pain was constant. My white blood cells were up with was a sign for apendicitus. They performed a CT scan and an Ultrasound. After they looked at the results they could tell I had a bit of fluid around my apendix and the couldnt really see it. A few hours later I was going back for a laproscopic surgery where they were going to remove it. I was only in the hospital over night and the recovery time was only a few days. I sugest that you go to your doctor if you suspect that something is wrong there. If caught early enough recovery time for apendicitus is extremely quicker. Good luck with everything.

Your symptoms aren't typical of appendicitis as the pain there is on the right side of the stomach. While it can be chronic, usually the pain becomes worse with fever, nausea & vomiting. If you are having problems with urinating, the pain may be from bladder or kidney problems. With chronic pain you should really have your MD check you. Good luck.

That's what I had- pain, flu-like symptoms, fever. But I couldn't play basketball- I was flat out in bed. Mine actually burst and I had to be rushed to the hospital at about 3am.

It is ALWAYS described as a pain in the lower right abdomen, the person in question's lower right. It should be right under where the edge of your undergarments start, the elastic part. Other than that, you just feel crummy, crampy and all around sickly. Nothing compares to asking a physician though.
