My 10 yr. old son often gets pain in the back of his neck whenever he gets a sore throat. It's not meningitis because the pain isn't that severe. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I would suggest taking him to see a Dr. Have you had a medical professional tell you that it isn't meningitis? The really crappy thing about diseases is that many times they differ from person to person. Pain is subjective....what is unbearable for me, might be a walk in the park for you and vice versa. Please....see a physician. I have a 10 year old as well....
