Read a question about muslims not vaccinating their children as innoculations could be made from certain animal products. Lots of muslims agreed with the poster. They say eating koranic food like olives and black seed would stop them having these deadly diseases.

So, every muslim who answered in this fashion would be prepared to see their children DIE because of their own pig-headed beliefs? In the last 50 years we have rid the UK of Polio, Smallpox, Typhoid and many other diseases. These muslims probably take their children to other islamic countries at some time where these diseases ARE prevalent, and their children would develop those diseases - AS A RESULT OF THEM DENYING THEIR CHILDREN TREATMENT. Plus, they may have family from these countries living in the Uk who could well be carriers of these conditions.

This is muslims making life or death choices for their children, based on their own beliefs - sod the child's welfare.

What do you think, the height of selfishness?

Well it is different Lucky - because we HAVE rid our country of all these diseases. That is a separate issue, even though it is one that I happen to agree with you on.

Look, these muslims shouldn't put their kids at risk because of THEIR own beliefs - and it's nothing to do with medical fact, it's to do with their pigheadedness

Absolutely, the height of selfishness, I hate it when parent's religious beliefs affect their (often brainwashed) offspring's health, another one is Jehovah's Witnesses with children needing blood transfusions and organ transplants. However you've got to see the positive side to it: few Muslims etc. are probably this religious or pig-headed, so if some do refuse to have their children vaccinated etc., there may well be fewer religious extremists in the next generation. Hurrah!

Are you suggesting then, that the Almighty State should compel it's citizens to do as the State decrees? What about freedom of choice in the rearing of children? Just because you do not agree with something, does not make it wrong. It is not just some Muslims who oppose vaccinations in one form or another, how about the parents ( with every right ) who oppose the MMR jab. Parents of all kinds make life or death choices for their children every day, that's what being a parent is about. Be carefull what you wish for, we could end up in a Nazi style country, where you all do exactly what you are told to do.

I have no brief for the Muslims whatsoever and thoroughly reject their religion, but...

Surely you must leave people to their choice of conscience?

Surely a genuinely held belief ought be respected?

If you feel strongly they are misinformed or in error or hold their belief wrongly then you are free to reason with them and seek to persuade without force or threat are you not?

We are all under God and must give account to Him. Let Him be the Judge for at least He knows better than you. Already you will have to give account for not respecting your fellow man. Also He allows them their choice, why not you?

If you will not allow what I say then surely the charge is against you that you are full of self - at the height of selfishness?

I don't think it's wildly different from the way Christians promote disease by blocking stem cell research.
