Exodus 12:11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover.

I've never seen them with sandals and staffs around Easter.

No...the passover seder is quite the opposite and is a big ritualized party that goes on for hours with lots of food and wine. We also open our doors to let in Elijah during the seder and most jews welcome people into thier homes to celebrate the passover events in Egypt and the subsequent escape into the desert.

So....it seems that most of the people answering this question....are not seder participating jews.

Easter is a xtian holiday, Passover is a different holy day. They do not happen at the same time on the same day. It does not say sandals it says shoes. For the most part people do not use a staff , at least not unless they are actually herding sheep. So this means to be ready. Yes they do practice this, it is the Passover meal, and they are prepared for whatever.
