First of all, the antibiotic you took did not give you the sinus infection, but the fact that you did not FINISH taking all of the medicine could have. When you have an infection and take anitbiotic but don't finish it, only the weakest bacteria are killed off. By stopping the medicine before you have finished all of it, you allow the strongest and most resistant bacteria to keep living. This is why bacteria are becoming harder to treat. Even if you have gone to the Dr. before, your mom needs to take you again. If he prescribes medicine YOU MUST FINISH all of it, EVEN IF YOU FEEL BETTER. If you take the wrong antibiotic for your condition it can potentially make what you have worse. If she absolutely will not take you to the dr, drink lots of water, hot herbal tea (no caffeine) with lemon and/or honey, try taking Mucinex for the mucous or phlegm and a cough suppressent to help your throat irritation from coughing so much. Use a humidifier, get lots of rest, stay warm. The other thing is that dairy products and sugar are mucous producing, so try to stay away from them for a few days. Hope you feel better!

Well, it's really best to cough it up than to swallow it. We take an herb called "Mullein" which is really good for loosening phlegm and mucus. Also, garlic will help tremendously, as will raw onions. I put a slice of raw onions on my breakfast egg sandwich. Everyone here thinks I'm "weird," but it helps keep the mucus away. Also, try to avoid dairy products, sugar, and sugary products while you are fighting this condition, as they will work against ANY efforts you make to get rid of the mucus (imagine fighting an uphill battle).

Sounds like you have some infection going on. Antibiotics will cure that yellow phlegm. A cough expectorant will loosen the phelm so that you can cough it out. You may have strep throat, is there white stuff in the back of your throat? I think you should seek medical care, this has been going on far too long.

Dude. You need to see a doctor. being sick for that long can really mess your body up - and it could turn into bronchitis or pneumonia. Drink lots of tea - lots of water and juice (double what you normally should). Hot water is good at loosening phlegm up. Sleep as much as you can. Don't overmedicate youself without a doctors advice. you prob. need a good antibiotic - and those are only prescription.

If you've had that cough since September, then you really need to see a doctor.
In the meanwhile, try drinking more water and tea with lemon and honey in it.
I hesitate to say more without knowing what you have that has stuck around so long.
Good luck!

in order to get rid of the phlem you have to cough ! once your out of phlem only then say confucious will your cough go away.
try using a vaporizer or just plain steam w/ some kind of a euclyptus based product. then breath it in, and do this several times a day. it should clean out your lungs a liitle quicker. if the cough is constant, use a product to coat the throat to help suppress the coughing.

You sound like you may have bronchitis and you need to see the doctor for that for medicine to ease it and maybe antibiotics too. Even if it is not this it sure sounds like something you have had long enough so get to the physician and get it taken care of.

You need to ask your doctor for a breathing treatment machine with the medicine albuterol. this always helps me when i get this way. You may even need an antibiotic to dry it up. I would see a doc
