I wouldn't avoid you at all. I'd be totally interested in finding out more about your heritage and how your family came to live in the US. I'll even break out the coffee pot and get some donuts from Tim Horton's if you've got time.

I can understand why people would avoid you for your surname, but there again, would you wanna talk to them because of that? Seems like they don't really want to get to know you so why bother.

P.S All the people that don't know his surname is Hitler should read the whole thing before answering the question

Are you sure that is the reason ? Do you, yourself, like your surname ? People change their names legally, ( and sic. illegally) all the time - just an option. Your question raises more questions than answers. By the way, what IS your surname ?

Some people just associate a famous name with anyone having that same name. HItler was evil - so you must be also. Unfair but that's the way life is. At least your first name is not Adolf.

In answer to floss - the man gave you his surname - duh???

In answer to kelly1496 and silverear - you actualy graduated from a school somewhere. That is scary.

In answer to yamnona - Hetler???? Who is that?

I think because they are ignorant and associate it with the former Dictator. I often wonder and hope that a serial killer or someone who does something heinous never has my name, and tehn I would also hate it if someone became popular and your name seems to be copying the famous person (sort of like in Office Space and the guy was named Michael Bolton). If you find it is really affecting your life, change it to James Jesus.

that's just an excuse... they surly have other reasons... At least that's how it is with me... people that avoid me are not doing that because of my hair, nationality or the kind of music I listen, they avoid me because I have the tendency to speak the truth to peoples face and as we all know, nobody wants to have their mask ripped off and facing the facts... But then again, that's just me... ;)

Depends on what your surname is. You have to tell us first so we can give you an answer.

True fact.... Hitler's last name was Schikelgruber before it was Hitler. Where did all of this Hitler stuff come from?? I would much rather associate with someone named Hitler than I would with the last name of Dahmer!! Now THERE is one to avoid!!

If your first name was "satan" I would avoid you. There is no point in being upset by other people, the ones who treat you bad aren't worth knowing.. love S**t stirrer.

why do people grab their wallets when they find out my last name is goldberg ? It is because of ' generalizations ' you seem like a fine hitler but not all hitlers are just as not all goldbergs are
