PROS ARE IT WAS BOUGHT BY FORD . BEFORE JAGUAR WERE ABYSMAL. THE S-TYPE IS ON THE LINCOLN LS PLATFORM V-6 NOT A GREAT V-6. THE V-8 IS A MUCH BETTER CHOICE THERE PERFORMANCE MODEL CALLED S-TYPE-R WHICH IS SUPERCHARGED. THIS WOULD BE A CLOSER COMPARISON TO M-3. THE JAGUAR IS MEDIOCRE ACROSS THE BOARD WITH VERY FEW HIGHLIGHTS. THE M-3 OUTSTANDING WITH VERY FEW DOWNSIDES.

Jags have always needed a mechanic 2 times a year. Now with Ford in the picture quality is worse than ever. I learned long ago,never buy a british vehicle or motorcycle.

Your best bet is to go to a few third party automotive sites such as Kelley Blue Book - kbb.com or Edmunds.com. Both have vehicle specifications and reviews. Edmunds lets you compare up to 5 vehicles side by side, which is a very useful feature. You might also websites of various automotive magazines such as Car and Driver and MotorTrend. Good luck

I've never been a Jaguar fan and even less since ford owns them. Look at a Benz as well as BMW.
