Lemsip contains a mild deco ngestant - phenylephrine. As it's available on general sale (you can buy it in the corner shop etc) then it's safe to assume it won't interact with other medication. If you are not sure you could give your nearest late night pharmacy a ring and they will put your mind at rest.

Yep. The paracetamol in the lemsip shouldn't have any effect on the Prozac. If you're concerned and want to check it out you can access a site for drug interactions. Don't know what the site is called but it's out there.

By can you take it I assume you physician has prescribed Prozac. Generic versions of FDA approved medication have been proven to be equivalent to the brand name drug. I your doctor was concerned that the generic would not be appropriate he/she could have indicated DNS (Do Not Substitute) on your prescription. Having not done that I suggest he/she had no such concern. As always, you can check with the pharmacist if you have any concern.

This is a question for either your doc or you pharmacist. Ask one of them as they can tell you if there are any precautions to taking the two drugs together.

get off the prozac, there's lots of hushed-up reports that says it seriously damages you permanently, panorama recently had an hour long program on it, please dont take any anti-depressants all they do is subdue your ability to think clearly, you end up being able to function but not have independent thoughts. i know i was on them once due to post traumatic stress disorder and acute anxitey. the only thing that worked for me was vallium. that too is dangerous in long courses because its very addictive, but it helped me regain my inner strength cos when i slept i completely shut down and woke having energy back. i would say it took 5 years after stopping anti-depressants to get my brain capacity to think indepentently and in depth back again
