Edelbrock Aluminum heads and a Flowmaster dual exhaust with 3 inch chrome pipes should do the job.

First the headers are really not the component that controls the sound, they influence the sound, but your pipes configuration andd mostly the mufflers you choose, have the most impact on your sound.

There are hundreds of configurations available, Flowmaster, Thrush, and Cherry Bomb (the 60's muscle car sound) I would suggest attending a few car shows and finding the sound you want, then talk to the owner and see what he is running, keep in mind, a Ford will sound slightly different than a Chevy.

To answer your original question, I prefer Heddman, but I would look for the best gauge (smaller number, ie.. 12 ga is thicker than 18 ga.) Another consideration is the size of the primary tubes, whether you want more horse or more torque.

If you alredy have headers, play (change) the mufflers and tailpipes. Try some Cherry Bombs, they sound great!!!!!

Hope this helps.

go to summit racing.com and look to see what you want, they come in all price ranges, the coated headers are better and last a lot longer plus make more horsepower, get a 2 1/2 " exhaust system for it with flowmaster super 40 series mufflers and you will love the sound.

hooker makes a header for this application
my friend one with a 383 stroker with hooker headers
Im not sure if they make Super Comp for this aplication, but if they do they would be better than the regular hooker headers
