I feed him well and care for him .He is a street puppy . I have to keep him on leash as I live in a flat (on the 4th floor). When I'm at home I allow him to wander inside my apartment. Here in our country we have no such "Obedience Schools" and Trainers.I shall be thankful if any kind hearted dog lover could suggest some method .

Keep a favorite toy handy to redirect your dog to when he starts biting at your hands. His behavior is perfectly normal for a dog who has not been taught bite inhibition by other dogs. Yelp or make a noise when he does bite at you and redirect to a toy. He'll catch on quickly. Good luck!

If I understand you correctly, this dog was adopted by you as he was a stray. If thats the case, he could have been abused in the past, and is therefore fearful of hands.

You could start with feeding him small bits from your hands, and stroking him gently while he is eating from your hand. But if ye gets scared and walks away, let him be. Go very slow, and he should come around. Also, don't make any sudden movements with your hands, as he might interperit that as abuse and bite.

It's pretty easy to find sites that will help you with this. Sounds like your pup never had a chance to learn what bite inhibition is - be fair to him, don't push him around - using reward-based training will really help you and your relationship with this dog.

It's natural dog behavior for a dog to mouth or nip. You shouldn't allow him to do that however. When he starts to nip put him in down immediately. That means he's submitting to you. Any time he gets out of hand you should put him in down.

Hold a treat in front of him and tell him to sit. Push his bottom down if he doesn't sit right away.

Once he's in sit tell him to down. Take the treat from his nose to the floor. Place your hands below his shoulder blades and gently guide him to the floor. Once he is all the way down give him the treat. Repeat these two commands till he is proficient and he can do it w/o the treat.

Then when he starts nipping or biting put him in down!

Good Luck

You have a beautiful picture, is that of yourself, if so, you are very pretty! As far as him biting you, whenever he starts to bite you, make a loud 'SSShhh!' sound and push him away with your other hand. Repeat this for several weeks, and eventually he'll stop. Just be sure to let him know that you are upset when he bites you.

its a puppy trait......he just probably didn't grow out of.......its like a game to him.......just scold him with a firm "NO" and if he has your hand in his mouth press oh his tong only hard enough to make him let go.....teaching him its not okay and he will learn to stop doing it.....when you greet him and he doesn't do it make a big deal of him.....if he does bite ignore him........he will want your praise and will learn to get it by not biting......good luck
