Could you be interested in someone who talked like "dat"? Like, "wat r dey thinkin"? I could understand and excuse if and when they're in a hurry or in a chat room. But when you have the time to think and write out your thoughts, I expect a little more intelligence. To me it seems like a person who doesn't care about how they're coming across to others is kinda retarded.
That could be the reason why so many young girls are getting cheated on. The guys don't think they have the intelligence to know any better.

well i think the young people in Yahoo! answers, whether they be male or female, are in a completely different tech age than you and i were.
we didn't have text and IM when i was growing up...we actually wrote letters to people (which has been out dated). i think it has a lot to do with why there is such a difference in grammar and spelling now a days. hopefully they will get the education that they need to succeed and if not, then we will have a generation of 'texters' that may even be accepted for their lingo...
i wouldn't so much call it 'ghetto typos'...for the fact that i know many suburban students use this lingo as well

I lived in what many considered the "hood" for many years, the slang is a way of expression, every generation has its own slang, when I was younger everyone spoke valley, now in no way am I from the valley, lol, but it was what was in, most move on and grow out of it, or else it becomes accepted by mainstream America and loses its coolness. Self expression is a great part of what fuels the imagination, and creates the inventors and artists of the next generation.

How silly to relate the way they write to whether they get cheated on. Guys don't cheat because "guys don't think they have the intelligence to know any better". Guys who cheat do so because they are the type to do so. It has very little to do with their partner. Why did you relate it to young girls anyway? There are far more guys talking the crap than females, anyday.

Girls get cheated on cause that's what males do! Wouldn't matter if they were perfect, guys would still cheat!!
I think some people talk like that trying to be cool. I guess if you like to sound like you don't have a brain in your head, you're cool. Unfortunately, some people come from neighborhoods where all the people talk like that, because they have no education. Funny they wanted to get rid of slavery, but still like to talk like slaves!

Im a girl, and for me for some reason, When a guy talks like that it doesn't bother me. (although I wouldn't date them) But when a girl talks like that it just irritates the crap out of me!

I know, real ghetto people wouldn't be on yahoo answers first of all. Second of all, they wouldn't type like that, well, maybe a little, but not every word to the extreme. They still talk that.

well i like to say i live in the ghetto.. as ghetto as a little city in canada can be..
drug addicts walking around leaving needles in the boulvard..
its kinda a scummy end sort of.. not as bad as it was..
