I had the same problem. I however didn't want to allow access to Limewire at all times. I go to my antivirus icon on my main tool bar. Right click on it and disable it for only the amount of time I feel I will be on limewire. If I am on longer, suddenly I do not get any "finds" on limewire. At that time, I close out limewire, and disable the firewall protection once again. The key being, you have to close down limewire at that time.

ok... this question doesnt make much sense.
but why would u want to disable the firewall?
oh.. after reading the other answers..i get it now.
k, u go to control panel, then securety centre, then theres 'windows firewall' at the bottom, then click on the exceptions tab, then tick the limewire box.

Usually most firewalls have an option for Program Control. Use that to allow whatever program you want to have internet access instead of being blocked.
