I am going to be a guest book person for a wedding, what will I be doing? I know the bride will go over this stuff with me, I just want to have a little heads up on it before time...

just make sure everyone signs in
it would be nice of you to know where bathrooms are and things like that
be sure to know the names of the bride and groom

You will be the greeter as people arrive for the reception. You need to make sure each guest signs the book for the bride, as well as put their contact information down ( if that is what the bride wants) Just be prepared to smile, greet people you may not know and stand around until the bride and groom arrive to officially start the reception. Have fun and just relax!

Normally just make sure that EVERYONE signs in. She can also have you make sure that everyone writes down current contact information. Just smile and have fun.
