I worked for Delta in Las Vegas and we were contracted to run their operation, ticket counter, gates and baggage service since at the time they only had the one flight. Now they are advertising more and running expanding operations everywhere.

They are a low budget discount carrier that runs an all Airbus fleet. I flew them for the first time last month and it was the first time I paid for a ticket on anyone in years and the first non-Delta flight. I have to say I was spoiled by my airline. The seats are uncomfortable and about 2 inches closer than any other airline Id been on. The flight attendants on my first flight were ruder that Id ever seen on any airline. They boarded us with out an operating ground power unit and we sat there for over an hour with out air and it was 90 degrees in the cabin. There is no onboard entertainment and all snacks are for purchase. They do one beverage service and thats it. No blankets, no pillows, no frills...no nothing.

On the upside, they run crazy fare sales and Im flying to Vegas for $7.77 one way and $69 return from Atlanta. They run 5 cent sales, $9 sales and $29 sales, if you watch you can get really good deals.

Are they trustworthy, yes. They have been around for a while, and Id trust them over several other low cost carriers. Anyone can upgrade no matter what the fare class of your ticket is and its cheap. Atlanta to Vegas and Vegas to Atlanta is only $50. First Class seats are normally the price of coach on the other major airlines, so that is cheap too.

Also, after Feb 10th, you will only be able to check one bag for free. An additional bag is $10.

If you can get in on their fare sales, you can get some good deals. Its the only way I can afford to take my daughter to see her dad in Vegas every month. Just be warned you get nothing for what you are paying. Take a portable DVD player and your own snacks on board with you.

Yes...my family lives in LA and I live in Detroit (although i am about to move back)
And I used to fly them all the time, until their rates went waaaay up.
They didnt have their own terminal in LA, so you would land in the middle of the landing strip, and then ride a bus to the terminal.
They used to be much cheaper than say a northwest or continental, but they were always on time. They didnt offer any meals, but they were dependable and on time.
At some point their prices went up pretty high, and I havent flown them since.
If you have a low price ticket with them, i think it should be pretty good, just take your own munchies.

Never traveled with them, but I've never heard anything bad about them either. We all talk, and from what I can tell, traveling with them will be like any other airline.

I have heard of them although I have never flown with them, just because they are not all that big and they don't fly too much out of where I live. I would fly them I guess.
