there is lot of foreign inflows coming in and the IT and ITES sectors are booming consequently both office and residentail prices are zooming. Coimbatore is the largest city in TN after chennai and is bound to attract speculative investments plus textile and engineering sectors are doing well as well. I hope this is not a bubble although year to year increases in prices are phenomenal and out of the ordinary. year to year growth of this massive scale [2006] is not healthy and it hope it stabilises some where. the growth rate may not be as melodramatic as 2006 and it is in the best interests of a country like india that it does not happen

Not only in Coimvatore the land prices are increasing rapidly in those areas where real estste business is active and real estate business runs on prepeganda. The value may decrease slightly when the propegenda is proved not convincible in practical in future.
