No bird truely hibernates, but a few will go into "torpor" which is sort of a lighter, shorter version of hiberantion. Hummingbirds and Poorwills will do this.

Hi there, since birds have a high metabolic rate, they are unable to store enough fat necessary for a true hibernation. Some birds like the humming bird and other animals go through a partial hibernation known as a torpor. These warm blooded animals will drop their body temperatures at night to conserve energy in the winter. Bats do this too. Have a tweet year.

No, i dont think birds hibernate, but they do migrate but some odnt even do that, they will be built to stay put.

I have a bunch of birds in my wall. They didn't migrate. I don't know what they are . I can hear them. They are in there for the winter.
