Well, whatever it is, is it worth the friendship? I mean, if you value the friendship more, can you deal with giving back his stuff even though you won't get yours just to save the friendship? Otherwise, give him his stuff back or not... but it seems like it might be time to write him off.

it seems like you still really care about it even thought you say you dont, guys are somewhat like that the dont put much meaning to things that we do, i mean if you really think about it the celebrate anniversaries cause we make a big deal about it but if it was up to them they wouldnt care, so dont read too much in to in, just let it goi think you are just making a big deal a bout it and he might not understand, i think you should calmly tell him that it was very important to you and that it hurt you, and you will see that you will get a totally different reaction

yes i think so because he didn't put yourfeeling in to perspective when he lost your stuff and he had no right to get angry when you told him that you lost his stuff and he doesn't even know that you lied to him and the fact that you still had it , I would have destroyed his stuff and cursed him out worse that what you did

Because he is a moron doesn't mean you have to be.
Return the item and leave it at that.
You guarded your possession but he didn't think yours was worth keeping obviously.....
Tells you something about this dude.
Return the stuff, you don't want it anyway.
get rid of his stuff and him.....

You may have overreacted alittle bit but I can understand, you trusted him with something that was important to you and he didn't care enough to take care of it. I can't blame you one bit.

Oh for goodness sake- give him back his stuff and be done with it. You're no better then him if you're lying about his things and holding them hostage- you're being petty and immature, too.

Yes, you did the right thing. The least he could have done is look after it. I guess you know he's not responsible and he obviously don't care about other peoples belongings..........................I hope this helps?

Be the bigger person and give him back his stuff, then never speak to him again.

If he lost it, maybe it wasn't on purpose.. You shouldn't take revenge on him.. so i would say no.. you did not do the right thing. sorry
